The manager’s house is an experimental two-bedroom unit that we designed for the ongoing master plan for Ceylon Miracle Hotels. Developed as a modular unit to be repeated in the premises with its future expansions, the building adopts a low-cost approach with the use of experimental materials such as fly ash bricks alongside equally low-cost building techniques and exterior finishes.
To be built and reserved for staff members, the manager’s house consists of 2 bedrooms, a kitchen, dining/living areas, and shared a washroom, all in a limited floor area of 800 Sq. ft., to provide a comforting stay to its dwellers. Located in a land with plenty of greenery all around, we carefully placed the openings to provide ample views while keeping the privacy of the residence intact.
