Boutique Hotel

Location: Sri Lanka

Sigiriya, Sri Lanka

overlooking a field of paddy and the UNESCO heritage site beyond, the proposed six-bedroom hotel offers the tourists a serene lodging to rest and recuperate from their travels to the ancient city. To be built on limited land with a tight budget catering mostly to middle and upper-middle traveling groups, the architect prioritized providing enough privacy and seclusion to the guests while encouraging recreational events with an open pool and a hangout space connecting to the restaurant. Rooms are located in separate blocks to enhance privacy by providing pocket-like spaces and the carefully planned landscape further propels the architect’s vision
