Urbn Heaven

Location: Sri Lanka

Nugegoda, Sri Lanka

Designed for a chartered accountant who values connection to the outdoors and greenery, the proposed house was first conceptualised around having two external courtyards sandwiching the main living area, allowing natural light to enter the core of the home. The client’s concern with mosquitoes and other insect threats meant that large sliding windows were avoided, with only a few carefully planned doors and windows kept fully openable for access and controlled ventilation.

The architectural language follows a modern Dutch influence, using soft edges and curved openings to shape the façade. Green colour is introduced carefully as an accent colour on windows, doors, and some interior details, while built-in shelves are often used throughout the interiors with vintage ornaments.

In summary, the proposed home is envisioned as a peaceful getaway for the client, offering a break from the demands of the financial world and a place to spend meaningful time with his family.
